The diploma

The American Marketing Association defines marketing as The process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy the objectives of individuals and organizations.. Over the years, this discipline, which originated in administration, has evolved and expanded its scope to other fields, such as cultural management. Therefore, it is now essential that cultural professionals working in the public, private, or non-profit sectors understand and incorporate marketing tools into their work, enabling them to enhance their professional profile, generate a competitive advantage for their organizations, or even successfully enter the job market.

Recognizing this need, the University of Piura, through the Faculty of Humanities, has designed the Diploma in Marketing for Art and Culture With the aim of meeting an existing market demand and providing quality training with highly qualified teachers who will share their knowledge and academic and work experience with the participants of this Diploma program.

For this reason, the Diploma in Marketing for Art and Culture It aims to address the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the participant, upon completion of their studies, to be able to design a marketing plan based on a resource, good, service or cultural product of their interest.

 

Goals

Upon completion of the diploma program, participants will be able to:

  • To provide the participant with the theoretical and practical knowledge to understand the importance of marketing in cultural management.
  • To bring the participant closer to practical experiences that exemplify the incorporation of marketing as a good practice in the management of cultural goods, services or products.
  • To guide the student in the development of a marketing plan based on an idea or proposal of their interest.

 

Methodology

The diploma program's methodology combines theory and practice to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. The theoretical component is delivered through lectures given by instructors, while the practical component focuses on students developing a marketing plan for a cultural product or service throughout the program.

 

Modality

The diploma program will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining synchronous learning through recorded lectures with live sessions for instructors and students throughout the modules. This approach allows students to progress at their own pace while also providing opportunities for communication and feedback with instructors.
