  • IX Convention of Public Law and III of Private Law

The Faculty of Law, following its academic tradition, has organized the Public Law Convention for nine years, an academic space where students and legal professionals analyze topics of interest and current legal affairs. This year, in a post-pandemic scenario, the IX Public Law Convention and the III Private Law Convention will focus on legal issues related to the challenges posed by the new technologies of the 21st century.

Technology, in this unprecedented crisis scenario, has been an ally to carry out a series of legal businesses, acquire goods and services, encourage teleworking, attend virtual hearings, etc. This current panorama presents various challenges in the political, economic, social and fundamentally legal spheres. This represents an opportunity to question ourselves from the Law on what type of legal responses we require to face current social problems as a country. In this sense, the thematic axes of the IX Convention on Public Law and III Convention on Private Law will focus on analyzing and designing legal responses in the form of proposals to the academic community around new technologies.

In this edition we will launch a new section, Miscellaneous, where participating students will present a small research work developing topics of interest that are not contemplated in the central axes of the Convention.
