Dr. Javier Gómez Sánchez

Professor at the University of Piura. PhD in Archaeology and History and Master's in Anthropology of the Americas from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the author of several publications on architecture, iconography, and human sacrifice in the Moche culture, as well as others focused on the literary field. He has also participated in conferences in Lima and Bogotá on topics such as identity and archaeology. In his latest book, Human Sacrifice in the Moche Culture: A Study Through Its Architecture, Javier Gómez connects the ceremonial uses of Moche huacas (sacred sites) with the ritual of human sacrifice. |
Dr. Jorge Polo Blanco

Professor at the Higher Polytechnic School of the Coast (ESPOL) in Guayaquil. PhD in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He currently works as a professor and researcher at ESPOL (Guayaquil). His main research interests are Political Philosophy (modern and contemporary) and the History of Ideas. He has published numerous articles in specialized academic journals, 46 of them in journals indexed in Scopus. He has also published four books as sole author, in the field of political and philosophical essays: Romantics and Racists: Ideological Origins of Spanish Ethnonationalisms (2021); Anti-Nietzsche: The Cruelty of the Political (2020); Tyrannical Economy: Marketized Society, Financial Dictatorship, and Popular Sovereignty (2015); and Postmodern Profiles: Some Directions of Contemporary Thought (2010). |
Dr. Pablo Sebastián Lozano

Professor at the University of Piura. PhD in Art History from the University of Valencia. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at his alma mater, as well as at Jaume I University in Castellón and San Marcos University in Lima, and at the Ignacio Merino School of Fine Arts in Piura. As an organizer, he has participated in various events such as seminars and conferences, most recently, "One Hundred Years Later: Peru and Latin America at the Beginning of the 20th Century" (2019). He has published in several specialized journals on art and the humanities, including Illapa (Ricardo Palma University) and Mercurio Peruano (University of Piura). |
Dr. Carlos Zegarra Moretti

Professor at the University of Piura. PhD in Anthropology of the Americas from the University of Bonn. He has led projects for the description, conservation, and dissemination of historical archives of dioceses in Cusco and Puno with support from international cooperation. He is also the editor of the journal Allpanchis. His research interests include viceregal history and ethnohistory. Since 2023, he has been a professor at the University of Piura. |
