The program is aimed at students from diverse fields of study worldwide who wish to enhance their education with knowledge of the Spanish Golden Age and the various research approaches and methods that can be applied to it. The Diploma in Golden Age Studies is open to anyone with an interest in this period, intellectual curiosity, and an openness to exchange ideas with professors and other students from different countries.

As this is an online program, it also aims to provide this study opportunity to people who cannot find this content or perspective at a nearby university or who, for various reasons, cannot attend an in-person program. Knowledge of Spanish is required, so the program can also be a good way for students whose native language is not Spanish to practice their listening and reading comprehension in that language.
