In recent years, culture has become a strategic factor for social, economic, and human development. The growth of creative industries, the strengthening of cultural policies, heritage management, and the development of community projects have generated a growing demand for professionals capable of leading sustainable cultural initiatives with a positive impact on their communities.
However, many people working in the cultural sector come from diverse disciplines and do not always have specialized training in cultural management. This reality highlights the need to acquire tools that enable them to design projects, manage resources, lead cultural organizations, and understand the institutional dynamics that influence cultural development.
The Specialization Program in Tools for Cultural Management offers practical and interdisciplinary training that integrates the main foundations of contemporary cultural management. Through courses related to project design, organizational governance, economic sustainability, festival and event management, and public administration procedures, participants will develop skills applicable to diverse cultural contexts.
At the end of the course, participants will have the tools to design, implement and evaluate cultural projects, manage organizations, strengthen the economic sustainability of their initiatives and understand the articulation between culture and public management, contributing to the development of projects with social and cultural impact.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Apply cultural management tools for the planning and administration of cultural projects and organizations.
- Design and formulate cultural projects based on diagnoses and specialized methodologies.
- Manage economic resources and develop sustainability strategies for cultural initiatives.
- Understanding the administrative and regulatory procedures related to public cultural management.
- Analyze experiences of festivities and festivals as spaces for cultural development and citizen participation.
- Strengthening leadership, teamwork and decision-making skills in cultural organizations.
The program is aimed at cultural managers, public officials, cultural entrepreneurs, project managers, professionals in the humanities, arts, education, tourism, communication and social sciences, as well as members of cultural organizations interested in strengthening their management capacities.
The program is delivered in person. Academic sessions combine lectures, case studies, debates, practical exercises, and mentoring for the development of cultural projects. The in-person format fosters the exchange of experiences, the building of professional networks, and collaborative learning.
Participants who successfully pass the subjects and meet the academic requirements established by the University of Piura will receive the: Certificate of Specialization in Tools for Cultural Management.
