Universia.-The Universidad de Piura is a member of Universia, university website hosting universities in Ibero America. This website contains information of interest for university students, candidates and teachers. It is sponsored by the Santander group.

 

 

Chalaco Program.-The Program of “Sustainable Development of Higland eco-systems in Perú” is executed by the Universidad de Piura and by Mirhas Perú. It has as its objectives to improve the health conditions, education, managing capacity and handling of productive resources of all the population localed in the sub basin of the Chalaco river, which is made up of 40 housing groups in the district of Morropón and 3 in the province of Ayabaca.

 

Lancones Project.-The Project “Improvement of Basic Health and Strengthening of the Micro-economical setup of frontier Peruvian-Ecuadorian housing projects” is executed by the Universidad de Piura and the Municipality of Lancones. The project aims at finding better conditions of basic sanitation and development perspectives for the population of 10 towns in the district of Lancones, province of Sullana.

 

Environmental and Integral Development Projects Unit.-The Universidad de Piura has worked since 1984 with carob trees (Prosopis Pallida) promoting ists re-valorization. The Environmental and Integral Development ProjectsUnit (UPADI) is the center responsible for the coordination and execution of environmental and rural development projects in the context of dry and fog forests in the department of Piura.

 

Esteban Campodónico Figallo Prizes.-The Clover Foundation  (New York) and the Universidad de Piura, make a calling for these prizes with the objective of stimulating people and institutions who work for the benefit of the Peruvian society, in the fields of science, arts, culture, medicine, teaching, social work. The winner  in each of its two areas:  Outstanding Profesional Performance and Direct Services will receive 10 thousand American dollars, a diploma and a medal of honor.
